1. WAHT project complete.

    August 3, 2011

On Tuesday 26th July we completed the latest refresh project at Weston-Super-Mare. We are hoping to return in the next few weeks to deal with the disposal of all the old units which, as detailed in the previous post, is a function that we are working hard to include in our catalog of services.

  2. Computer Disposal Services

    August 3, 2011

Over the past few weeks we have been in discussion with CDL (Computer Disposals Limited) with a view to adding their services to the package D10 offers its clients / potential clients. By establishing a partnership with CDL we will be taking a natural step up the ladder of expansion.

This is an ever more important part of the IT Deployment process, one which places more and more importance on adherence to legislation and one which calls evermore on the conscience of those providing the service. CDL represent the best of both of these in our opinion so we are hopeful that we can cement our relationship with them soon and start providing a more complete deployment service.

  3. Completion of another hugely successful project.

    April 4, 2011

On the 31st of March we installed the last PC of a project that ended up being 50% greater than originally forecast! Through effective use of resources and time we managed to cope with the deployment of 50% more PC’s AND with 36 days of delay due to other commitments within the trust!

This project represents D10′s greatest success to date. With the additional challenges presented by deploying Windows 7 and Office 2010 our ability to complete on time and within budget is, once again, being recognised. We have received praise and congratulations from many areas of the Trust.

  4. New project initiated at WAHT.

    January 6, 2011

This week we received confirmation of the latest PC replacement project to be implemented at Weston Area Health Trust. This project is solely for the purpose of replacing old equipment. It has been agreed that we will make a start on the 4th of April to coincide witht the completion of the project in Bristol. We have also agreed to give 2 or 3 days a week to the project which we hope to get completed by the end of June 2011.

  5. The next round of PC replacements imminent at UHBFT

    September 6, 2010

After a period of much deliberation it has now been decided that UHBFT will replace all PC’s that are 5 years (or more) old. D10 has been instructed to carry out this work alongside a project manager from the Trusts IT Department.

On this ocassion we have been given 6 months to complete – 1st October 2010 to 31st March 2011. With other projects running parallel to this one it may turn out that we have to employ one other to cover the workload during this period.

Using the experience gained on our very first project at UHBFT we are confident that we can execute this project even more effectively, although we will be deploying Windows 7 and Office 2010 on these new PC’s which may throw up some unexpected issues!
